About Me

Welcome to Tea Talks!  I’m so glad you’ve stumbled onto my little corner of the internet. I may tend to ramble, but I just love to write and sometimes there is no stopping me! This site is an infant in more ways than one; mostly that I haven’t really narrowed a focus for my ardent desire to put typed-content onto the internet. In other words, there isn’t a very cohesive overarching theme to this blog. It’s mostly just me talking and hoping you’re listening and getting a kick out of it. Comment away and let me know what you think, if I annoy you or make you laugh.

aboutmepageA little about me;

Born in Guelph, Ontario to loving parents, I was raised in a Christian, military and loving home with my four younger brothers. I attended public school until the completion of grade five and was home-schooled for the remainder, except a brief stint of public high school for a semester in grade ten- which I did not desire to repeat. When I was seventeen I met my future husband through our co-home-schooling mothers. Our courtship lasted long distance for one and a half years before we meandered off to college on the prairies together. A year later, in 2008, we were married. Our marriage has been full of joy and love and, of course, trials. Through it all, however, we have clung both to our love of one another and our trust in God and His plan for our lives. My husband is currently attending University and I am finishing up the summer of work at a locally owned retail establishment before going on maternity leave in August. Yes! That’s right! We are expecting our own little bundle of joy in the first few days of September 2013.
I have always loved writing- short stories and novels since childhood and more recently diving into the world of bogging. I have a lot of things on my mind and although they aren’t all necessarily coherently connected to one another, I figure I might as well compile them in one more-or-less organized place.

  1. I can see part of myself in you! I grew up in London, Ontario (still living there for know) and I’ve been writing novels, short stories and poems since a little girl. On top of that my due date is September 12th! Love the blog so far, can’t wait to read more!

    1. This is a bit belated, but I hope your baby arrived safe and sound; ours certainly did 🙂 I’ve never been to London, but I have heard it’s very nice.

  2. I just read through your site and love following your blogs/online presence, Sara. Your frank “discussion” is so fresh and fun to read, your knitting creations so adorable. It all brings back a memory of days gone by… Much love to you and your little family! ❤ And don't worry… you WILL find your place in this world eventually. Sometimes it happens in retrospect, so just live your life and do things you enjoy. It will all fall into place as it's meant to be. 🙂
